To say that Chantal Mitvalsky, is a stunning vocalist is an extreme understatement. Melbourne drummer, Sonja as her music teacher at school was first to recognize this. Bob Sedergreen realized this the instant she joined JAVC sessions as did all jazz musicians who subsequently worked with her in bands like Cannonball.

Chantal relocated to New York City in 2017 and quickly became a regular performer in the New York music scene. Since returning home Chantal has received rave reviews from the audience from the sell-out crowds at The Lido Jazz Room. Much to Bob’s surprise USA jazz great pianist Mickey Tucker chose Sonja Horbelt and Annette Yates as his working rhythm section in Australia. Having watched how outstanding this threesome was Bob continually booked Sonja & Annette as often as he can. Annette is the viby and propulsive one.
