“Galluppi knocks it out of the park with his take on the crime thriller with a sprinkle of pitch-black comedy” — Dread Central

A travelling knife salesman (Thunder Road’s Jim Cummings) is caught in a twist of fate when a pair of fleeing bank robbers storm a roadside diner after a routine stop. The diner’s patrons and staff are thrust into a perilous hostage scenario and, like a pot of hot bitter coffee, tensions brew as allegiances shift, drawn guns sway power and the bank heisters’ spoils await the last man standing.

With a simple premise, sharp-tongued dialogue, and an ensemble of beloved character actors as a cast of oddball locals, this directorial debut is a single-location crime thriller that delights at every tense turn.

Harkening back to an era of revisionist genre cinema like Reservoir Dogs, Fargo and Two Hands and slyly infused with fresh humour and nasty personality, The Last Stop in Yuma County is a genuine blast from a new filmmaker of immense promise.
