Recently receiving a lifetime achievement French Academy (César) Award, Agnes Jaoui (The Taste of Others) is unforgettable in this beautiful film about the unshakeable bond between a Jewish mother and her son.

Pierre, a successful 33-year-old florist, has his life turned upside down when his mother, Judith, suddenly reappears on his doorstep after a two-year absence. Arriving in a whirlwind of exhilaration, excess, and chaos it soon transpires that Judith has escaped from the mental health clinic where she’s been staying.

Desperate to get back to his quiet life, Pierre resolves to return Judith as soon as possible. The pair set out on a road trip in which nothing goes as planned, and their unexpected adventure – as funny as it is wrenching – will transform Pierre and Judith forever.
