The Story

A sensitive illustration of the adventurous life and work of the Wolf Prix, founder of Coop Himmelb (l) au, contemporary architect, urban planner, visionary, provocateur and cross-thinker.

Since the founding of Coop Himmelb (l) au in 1968, Wolf Prix has managed to establish itself as a star and revolutionary on the architecture scene. This film is an exclusive insight into his controversial views on politics, society and culture, how it is reflected in his works and how it has helped to change classical architectural doctrines.

His most famous works include the Akron Art Museum in Ohio, USA (2007), the Busan Cinema Center in Busan, South Korea (2011) and the European Central Bank's new headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (2014). At home, he is known for Musikkens Hus in Aalborg.

The film is introduced by architectural historian and assistant professor at KADK, Martin Søberg, who wants to expand the story of Coop Himmelb (l) au and the company's architectural historical significance.
